What is People Reaching Out?

We are a public non-profit foundation comprised of civic-minded, philanthropic citizens of the City of New York representing a wide divergence of socio-economic backgrounds. Our principal concern is for other New Yorkers relying on under-funded, under-resourced and under-publicized charitable institutions for daily sustenance.

Our Mission

Our foundation's concept is to offer help to small lesser known charity institutions whose work is focused on needs within New York City that do not have the notoreity or Corporate Sponsorships necessary to raise funds for programs to benefit the less advantaged. We will target specific non-profit charity institutions that address important social issues such as children with AIDS, domestic violence, animal abuse and issues for the elderly (a more complete list of issues and charity recipients available upon request). With the smaller programs it will be easy to see and monitor the use of our proceeds for enhancing the lives of those less fortunate.
